De Struise Brouwers
WESTOEK X is a 6% abv, 4 grain blond “dry triple” married to a soft English bitter. Magnum hops are used for bittering, Styrian Goldings for different aroma hop gifts in the boil, late boil and flame out, plus some Hallertauer Mittelfrueh for dry hopping.
The result is a slight hazy, deep blond “Anglo-Belge” ale with a nice looking white foamy head on top.
The aroma is dry malty with refined flowery hop accents and hints of grapefruits.
The taste is quite complex and has a dry-malty character with a fine taste of bread, cererals, some citruspeel and smooth tasting bittering hops. It ends with a soft and refreshing hoppy note.
